Why Does the LCF Exist?
The LaSalle Community Fund (LCF) Association was formed on April 28, 2021, by a group of local individuals who saw the need for a LaSalle organization intended to live on for generations, providing the community of LaSalle with funding assistance for a variety of worthwhile projects now and into the future.
What Does the LCF Do?
Our forward-thinking Association is committed to attracting donors to contribute funds to the LaSalle Community Fund by identifying needs in LaSalle and responsibly directing these funds through the WECF to charitable causes within the LaSalle Community.
Why do People Donate?
Many people are motivated by having benefited from personal experiences within their Community provided by local not-for-profit organizations; like activities, education, healthcare, and/or social services for various age groups in LaSalle… and wish to give back, so that others can have similar opportunities.
How are Donations to the LCF Used?
Funds contributed to the LaSalle Community Fund can be directed to current approved Projects, set aside for future approved Projects, or pooled & invested as Legacy Funds for general and/or specific charitable use within the LaSalle Community.
Are Donations Tax Deductible?
Yes, LCF donations are tax-deductible. You will immediately receive a Tax Receipt by email after submitting your donation of $25 or more.
Why is the WECF Involved?
The LCF is an Association, not a Foundation, so the LCF chose to partner with the WECF (Windsor/Essex County Foundation) that is a Foundation, in order to be able to provide tax receipts for your donations.
Does the Money Stay in LaSalle?
Rest assured that all donations initiated & collected through the efforts of the LCF simply flow through the WECF, which only charges a minimal fee to administer the funds, and your donation stays in the Town of LaSalle.
Who Pays for LCF Expenses?
Administration, advertising & promotion, and other LCF costs are covered thanks to the generous involvement of local businesses, whom we call our Sponsors/Ambassadors on this Website. All donations from individuals will be used to benefit the LaSalle Community.
Can I ‘Leave a Legacy’ in LaSalle?
Absolutely, and you can leave a general bequest to support the LaSalle Community, or specifically to create a personal legacy that will benefit the LaSalle Community to make it the best place to live, work, play, and visit.
